Just call me Gizmo

And perhaps I’ll give you a show

Sirens blare, lights sparkle

Though a clean slate would be remarkable

So you’ve finally decided to take your life

By coming to me and causing strife

The constant struggle reaches a crescendo

And now, your has reached an end bro

Fly little birdy, far away

Because as for me, I’m here to stay

The pitter patter of innocent feet

At times can make one feel complete

How can you abandon what you’ve sewn

Choose this man over your own

He hits, he swears, he continues to bite

How can I be expected not to fight

To brandish a fist just this once

Annihilate his circumference

To be in good humour is the the key

To happiness for you and me

To truly see the brighter side

And be the loved ones guide

Pull them through think and thin

With a wily quip, and a grin

Remeber as children we often fought?

Sometimes we’d both be so distraught

A knocked out tooth, a dislocated arm

Does not compare to the immesurable harm

These last two years I’ve missed your presence

But I cannot tolerate his essence

The rift created within our family

The grift he’s seeming pulled over you so easily

Just once I’d love to speak as we used to

Share a bottle and a laugh

I’ll dance to Clan of Xymox

And treat it as an equinox

Twice a year let ill feelings fade

For I hate to be in the shade

These shackles stop retaliation

Are not so permanent with my frustration

Kitty Kitty Gum Drops

A Kitten prances, dances, above the mine

Dancing and twirling, she feels divine

Hidden below a golden globe

Of purest white gold, it seems to glow

A miner gazes up above

Beholding in her beauty, what he mistakes for a Dove

He returns to work, for what he seeks

Diamonds glint, as once did Uriah Heep

Collecting sparkles, he crawls along

When to his surprise he finds a sphere

Purest white, it seemed to he, would suit the Dove for eternity

Climbing above he finds a friend –

Who’ll shine the valuables, to no end

And upon completion, he meets a Kitten

To Whom, to his surprise, he is quite smitten

When mentioning of the globe, they both are bound –

To face eternity, safe and sound

Merlot Critters

There’s a bug in my Merlot

Whatever will I do, when to my Grandfather I will show

My Grandfather’s dead you know

But what of the Merlot

To the bug, “Will you know. By the intoxication that I show, how many joys, it is, that I have known?”

The bug will no doubt reply – “You fool, intoxication I know, for in your wine I did sleep. And many times I’ve watched you weep, but little joy I’ve seen you seek”

“But bug, my heart is light, and many times within this night, have I counted my blessings and praised All”

“However, my friend,” the bug may reply. “ What ill fortune on your merriest of nights, did bring myself to your fine wine?”

“Ill fortune I must object, for in your unfortunate flight, you happened to land upon an inebriated foe, to shatter your misgivings and help you glow”

“Fool, I am a mortal bee, and this intoxication is killing me. Glowbugs are the ones you seek, for in their veins does seep – an illuminating desire, to fly ever higher”

“Your thoughts are sad, and it does show, so how about, showing me this glow?”

So up above, the unbelieving bee did, soar, and at the heavens, heard a roar

“How dare you glow, my little chum. For it is my creation, undone”

Upon this realisation, the bee did cease to glow

And fell to the Devil, far below

“Welcome friend, for I have seen, what all the others, deem obscene. You’ve come so far, little bug, and great fortune brought you snug, to that magnificent Merlot

“And now it is you that knows, the power in your mind – forever grows”
